“Exploring Spaceship Earth,” is an enlightening photographic journey around the planet with wildlife ecologist, educator, world traveler, and award-winning photographer Danny Catt.

Danny, whose passion for conservation was influenced by his travels, has explored and photographed the people, landscape and wildlife of more than 60 countries. His photographs have been widely published in Canada and internationally, most recently in the Globe and Mail and New York Daily News newspapers as well as Chinese Geographic and TIME magazines.

In “Exploring Spaceship Earth” Danny will share stunning images of his adventures while exploring remote regions of the planet, from the Serengeti of Africa and the icy fjords of Alaska to the rainforests of the Amazon basin. Wherever he travels, Danny’s photographs capture the beauty and awe of the natural world.

Danny has been highly recognized for his work and in 2012 he was inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. In 2011 he was named a member of the prestigious New York City based Explorer’s Club. A past Rotary Scholar, Danny was selected for two years running (2009/10) as the Canadian recipient of the Rotary Foundation Global Alumni Service to Humanity Award by Rotary International. The City of Burnaby, where Danny resides and teaches, honored him in 2008 with its Environment Award. Join Danny for a fun-filled and informative evening!
